The hum above the tables
Sheet metal and conventional motors transmit vibration. The EPP casing and DC Inverter motor of Black Box cut noise by up to 3÷6 dB(A).
the hydronic cassette you can't hear.Pure air, total silence and power, wrapped in Italian design. The suspended-ceiling cassette fan coil made for those who don't want to hide it.
From 19 dB(A), 8.3 kW heating with water at 45/40 °C: it performs at its best with a heat pump. Coanda panel in 4 colours, Wi-Fi and Modbus as standard.
In restaurants, hotels and offices the cassette sits right above people's heads: you hear it, you see it and sometimes it drips. Black Box is not an evolution: it is a new design, conceived from a different point of view: comfort and the look of modern ceilings.
Sheet metal and conventional motors transmit vibration. The EPP casing and DC Inverter motor of Black Box cut noise by up to 3÷6 dB(A).
Metal structures form condensation when the air is humid. EPP has a lower thermal transmittance than any insulated metal: no external condensation even at 90% humidity.
Capacities, versions and accessories multiply product codes and errors. Black Box is a single configurable code, with many options already included as standard: condensate pump, Wi-Fi, Modbus and much more.
A hydronic cassette, also known as a cassette fan coil, chilled water cassette or ceiling fan coil unit, is recessed into the suspended ceiling and receives hot or chilled water from a heat pump, boiler or chiller. The fan passes air over the coil and delivers it into the room: it heats in winter, and cools and dehumidifies in summer.
Unlike a cassette air conditioner, which is a DX split system running on refrigerant gas with its own outdoor unit, a hydronic cassette uses the building's water system: no refrigerant gas in occupied spaces and a single heat source for heating and cooling.
Every detail of Black Box answers a real problem faced by those who design, install or live in the spaces. The seventh is the one almost nobody checks.
From 1 to 6 kW of heating capacity in a single model, with configurable flow rates and versions. Fewer codes in stock, more flexibility, zero ordering errors.
Aerodynamic design and DC Inverter motor: up to –6 dB(A) compared with the main competitors. From 19 dB(A) at minimum speed.
Golden fins coil and optimised control: up to +20% capacity compared with conventional cassettes. The golden fins treatment improves resistance to oxidation and long-term durability.
The air jet clings to the ceiling and travels twice as far: double throw thanks to the Coanda effect. Even distribution, perceived comfort, no draughts.
Condensate pump, automatic air vent, spirit levels, Wi-Fi and Modbus: what others sell as options is included here.
Antibacterial and anti-COVID filters, Cold Plasma and electrostatic. Panel with display and backlighting on request.

The aim is to distribute the airflow and promote mixing, reducing direct jets on people and temperature differences in the room. With the Coanda panel the throw doubles; for the effect to work, the air must leave at the correct velocity, above 2.5 m/s, so it stays attached to the ceiling and does not "rain down" on those below.
Two motor control versions: 3-speed or 0÷10 V modulating, which starts lower and goes down to 19 dB(A). Power supply 230 V, single-phase, 50 Hz.

Self-regulates according to the air flow: it uses only what it needs and is safer than a conventional heating element.
It is a ceiling-recessed fan coil unit that heats and cools with water instead of refrigerant gas. Hot or chilled water comes from a heat pump, boiler or chiller, flows through the finned coil, and a fan delivers the treated air into the room. It is also called a cassette fan coil, chilled water cassette or ceiling fan coil.
A cassette air conditioner is a split (DX) system: refrigerant gas runs through the ceiling and it needs a dedicated outdoor unit. A hydronic cassette uses water, connects to the building's system and provides both heating and cooling from the same heat source. No refrigerant gas in occupied spaces, no extra outdoor units and one system serving the whole building.
The fan draws air in through the centre of the panel, passes it over the coil where the water flows and returns it to the room through the side outlets. On Black Box, the Coanda panel makes the air jet cling to the ceiling, so the air spreads evenly without draughts blowing directly onto people.
Yes, it is the ideal match. Black Box delivers 8.3 kW in heating with water at 45/40 °C and 6.67 kW in cooling with water at 7/12 °C, at maximum speed. Working with low-temperature water makes the heat pump more efficient.
In the version with the 0÷10 V modulating motor, sound pressure starts at 19 dB(A) at minimum speed and reaches 32 dB(A) at maximum. The EPP structure absorbs vibration: up to 3÷6 dB(A) less than conventional cassettes.
Yes: the unit is designed for the standard 600×600 mm ceiling grid module and is completed with the Coanda panel (650×650 mm) or the 4-way panel (711×711 mm). The built-in spirit levels help you install it perfectly level.
In cooling mode, yes, like any fan coil. Black Box comes as standard with a condensate pump with a lift of over 0.5 m and an auxiliary drip tray, so the drain can be run even where there is no natural fall.
Yes. With the 2-way or 3-way valve kits it works on 2-pipe systems; with the 3-way valve for 4-pipe systems it can heat and cool with two separate circuits.
The DC Inverter motor draws from 4 W at minimum speed to 54 W at maximum. The optional active filters use 1.5 W (Cold Plasma) and 1.6 W (ESP electrostatic).
Yes: Wi-Fi with App and Modbus are standard across the range. Using the Modbus protocol from the control board, up to 198 units can be managed, including in master/slave configuration.
It is the Black Box diffusion panel that uses the Coanda effect: the outgoing air jet clings to the ceiling and flows along its surface instead of dropping straight down. The benefits: double throw, so the air travels twice as far and covers the room better; even temperature distribution, with no hot and cold spots; no direct draughts on people seated under the cassette. For the Coanda effect to work, the air must leave at the correct velocity, above 2.5 m/s: this keeps the jet attached to the ceiling so it does not "rain down" on people. In addition, the Coanda panel has a built-in display with Wi-Fi, comes in 4 colours (Silver, White, Black, Sand) and can be backlit on request.
